This is the West end of our home. There were a bunch of dead/dying shrubs here. NOT anymore...as you can see. The Lad and Farmer J helped me cut them down.
See...deep in the green...my first cherry tomato!!!!
It looks so perfect! And...then it was gone. I wiped the little bit of dirt off with my thumb and stuck it in my mouth. It was perfect. I missed vine ripened tomatoes.
My green beans are on the mend. I think I have finally got all the 'holes' fixed where the critters were getting in.
The Lizard is a great defense against bugs. I am sure he is not the only one in this garden. Sorry the picture is so grainy. He runs when I get too close.
I have been tying up my tomatoes and trimming the lower leaves off. By keeping the plant off the dirt will help with dirt-born diseases. I hope. Also...there is some big tomatoes on here.
I have been trying to get some Roma tomatoes to grow. I NEED them for salsa and sauce. But this is the third (or fourth) batch of them I have tried to get started. These don't look all that good. The one on the bottom of the picture might not make it.
Now for some comic relief. Here is Trouble dog, at his leisure, all over my pillows, watching TV. He has a SAD life...NOT!
