First off, I have been house-sitting for the last five weeks.
Second, Momma goat passed right after she had the triplets. So...I have been teaching baby goats how to bottle feed. Well, Farmer J and the Hon-yaks have been helping, too.
As you can see here...we put them in a dog kennel, inside the goat pen with the other goats. This baby girl is the smallest of the three. She loves climbing on this stump.
It used to take about an hour to feed them. Now it takes about 15 minutes, as long as you have three bottles going at once. That takes at least two people. We feed 4 times a day. AND...they are sleeping through the night.
We have the kennel inside the goat pen because the brown goat was not very friendly to the babies. I thought that they would be safe in the kennel until they get used to each other. Then we could try them out with Dottie.
That is for another time.
The third thing that has been giving me troubles, is my small lens for my camera. I am having to use my telephoto lens. That is hard to do when you want close-ups. But I am making it work. For now.
Hope you all have a blessed day.
