This article was about a man who went to a beach in Mississippi, and started sculpting the torn trees left from hurricane Katrina. He's been turning them into birds and sea life, all along a beach.
He's trying to change the devastation into a work of art. All without pay. Sometimes when he goes, he has to bring a 'lift' so he can sculpt 30 feet in the air. With chain saws!
It made me think of Jones. He has been to Russia sculpting ice. Twice. The last time, Russia paid. He does snow sculpting, and sand sculpting, on top of sculpting trees, stumps, or anything else he can get his hands on. Plus, he is very good.
I am very proud of his accomplishments...like I had anything to do with it. We are both like minded in our beliefs of the way the Universe works. On our paths...so to speak.
What we have in common, is an ability to be "good" at many things. I think it has to do with being curious, and looking for solutions.
Because, if you have limited funds, a great need, and some intelligence, you can figure things out. It just takes some creative thinking.
Here's to all those unsung, creative thinkers out there! Blessings for making 'IT' work!
