I'm back!!!
I have been having major computer problems for a month now. In fact...I am STILL having computer problems. The Lovely and Wonderful, Lad has purchased me a new computer. We are in the process of putting it together. It seems he is having problems with the "Mother" board...Ha Ha Ha.
Anyway...I have been feeling off-kilter. I NEED this outlet to help me 'balance' myself out. It is also where I keep track of all the wonderful things that happens in my world.
Like...when I pull up plants. When I make something...like jams or pickles. Or when I fix something or something breaks.
I also point out when I get company. This last month has been wonderful. BFF came twice to help me at my events. I was so much fun to get to spend the days with her. Plus it was like having my own cheer squad.
The first time she came and helped me, she came a day early and helped me with the baking and spent the night. It is just so comforting to spend time with her.
She is doing excellent after her cancer scare. NO MORE CANCER! I couldn't be more pleased. I NEED her in my life.
I also got a shipment of apples and a shipment of pomegranates. I have the best neighbors. I have been canning a bunch more tomatoes and pomegranates. That equals more Italian food and salsa.
We have been dealing with more plumbing problems. Another pipe broke in the wall. This time it was where the hot water comes in the house. It took about 1 1/2 hours to bore a whole in the drywall (Ha Ha Ha), and soak the carpet. Of course it had to happen when I was in the middle of baking something...I can't remember what.
We then had to take all the shelving down in front of the slider door. THEN...we had to rip up old carpet and padding in the dining room. Thirty year old, dirty, wet, carpet. I am hoping to fill up the trash can with another section of old dirty carpet this week for trash collection.
When the plumber came to fix the leak, we had a ball-valve break from the water heater to the house. The problem that caused was it made our hot water pressure go down by half. That made it difficult to get the balance from hot to cold right. Showering was tricky.
So...yesterday we had the plumber come back out. He fixed the ball-valve issue and replaced the faucet on the kitchen sink. It had been trouble too. I am so grateful to have these water problems fixed. There are still a couple water issues left and they will be repaired in a week or two. Then we can start working on other things in the house, like new flooring. Or remodeling the kitchen, or the bathrooms.
Thank you MY Lad for all the wonderful things you do.
I am such a lucky Mom!
