This weekend I was lucky enough to get TWO loads of compost. We went to a different place than last time. This was composted much finer.
Here it is placed all over my garden. I think two more loads and this garden will be very nicely covered in this wonderful stuff. This garden has about two whole rows that need filling and I want to make more beds around my circle.
These beds are pretty full, but I want a little more compost in them and then topped off with wood chips. I think I may just turn these into strawberry beds. Or...potato beds.
This was taken last month...but it looks stormy out. Which is what I keep hearing from my friends. They are all tired of Winter. In fact, that is JUST what BFF and I were talking about this morning. How we are tired of it being dark as early as 5 pm because we don't have time to do yard work, after work. What kind of gardening projects do we want to start this year. When It gets to be this time of year, it gets my mind to thinking of all the possibilities.
Like...when is the best time to start plants in the house for planting in the garden? And then...BLAM! I find this link... http://www.AllThingsPlants.com
All you do is put your zip code in the spot and you have a great starting point for your area. When to start plants in the house. When to plant those plants outside. When to start seeds outside. All of this for Spring and Fall plantings.
