Last year, today, I started this site. We worked really hard, The Lad and I, all night to get it ready. This year we will be doing the same, I am sure. I have lots of projects to finish before we go. A lot of my baking has to be done last minute. AND I need some cards to pass out, labels, and stickers...maybe. We shall see how much I get accomplished.
So...Happy Anniversary to my site...and me. It has been a labor of love, a birth of a new me, a confessional, a creative outlet, a naughty child, a teacher/mentor, and a blessing. I have grown so much in the last year.
As I prepare for tomorrow, I am reflecting on all the hard work I have done and all I am about to do. Next weekend, the Lad and I are going to be filming a three minute video to turn in for a chance to be The Next Food Network Star.
This is the second time applying. The first time was the year Mom died. If I had gotten picked, I would have had to decide between my Mom, and a new career. Things turn out the way they are supposed to.
This time, I have an Angel to help me out...Right Mom? I would love for a chance to bring more attention to my goal. Which is to have a canning shed so I can give classes on canning and gardening, or whatever other things I feel compelled to teach. Plus, I want to be able to shoot videos there. To buy the two acres next door so I can build the shed, and a new house. To build a bunch of planting beds so I can sell subscriptions to a box of veggies every week for 20 weeks to a bunch of people. To show kids about planting and growing food. These are just a few of my dreams. At least I have a good start on that, now.
I also want to thank all of you for spurring me on. I couldn't have done this without all your love and support. Blessings on you all!
Now...I have to get back to work!!!!
