This basket pretty much fills up my kitchen sink. I picked all these veggies this morning out of my garden. The bottom is full of tomatoes. As you can see on top there are several types of peppers, and two beautiful, perfect cucumbers.
I have been struggling for years, trying to get cucumbers like that. This year alone I have planted them three times. Looks like I just might get some this time.
Today, with this basket, I have a lot of kitchen duty to do. Here are a few more baskets I need to deal with.
These are squash for bread and other yummy dishes like fried zucchini. The top basket has peppers and eggplant in it.
This is NOT a basket, but lots of ripe 'maters!
These are the 'Ugly' Sisters...but still good to eat. I would guess that I have about 25 pounds of tomatoes all together. I think salsa and maybe plain canned tomatoes are in order.
This is my 'big' crop of peaches. There were two pits still hooked to the tree, and as you can see...two peaches here they 'picked' on. They are not quite ripe...I just couldn't let them have one more bite.
What you see here are my NEW pomegranate plants. These are the future jelly/juice makers. I am so happy to have them.
Normally...I water my plants around my circle from the outside/in. TODAY I washed the dirt off the rocks from inside my circle, back into the flower bed. Now...the edge of rocks are clearly visible, instead of hidden by dirt.
Maybe it will be easier for my prayers to be heard. Either way...I like it when the lines are clearly defined.
