Here I am starting an experiment in how to get some shoots for pomegranate trees. I placed a newspaper on the ground to help keep moisture and to draw worms.
Then I poured on some compost.
As you can see...I dumped the pomegranate rinds (from when I juiced them) on top.
Then I added more compost.
Add water....
and cover with more newspaper. I also covered it up with a wheelbarrow to keep Bad Dog from digging it up.
What I am hoping to accomplish is to get some shoots to take off so I can transplant them and get "free" pomegranate trees. I will let you know how it turns put.
