The Future of My Garden 07/06/2011
"Future" eggplant Parmigiana. I count five eggplant. Find them. This is 'future' tomato something. Like sauce. Ketchup. Juice. These are Roma tomatoes. Future salsa. These got worm tea a couple of days ago. Hopefully they will start 'jumpin off', like Farmer J says. The basil IS jumpin' off. I planted it all over the place. Soon I will be pinching off the tops to encourage the plants to branch out and the leaves to get bigger. That way I can harvest several times a week and still keep my plants. Yeah! I want to show you how to use up cooked chicken or turkey and basil to make a one-pot-dish. I love it. My first zucchini. It can be picked now. You don't know how much it kills me to buy zucchini. I go through so much of it for my zucchini bread. Or shall I say 'crack bread'. Patty pan squash. Bunches of patty pan. Sauteed veggies. Yumm. Throw in some herbs. Parsley and marjoram. Maybe some thyme or chives would be good, too. The Bok Choi is ready to start to cut. I think some worm tea would do these veggies good, too. Just so you can see some progress...the potatoes. I need to put up some boards on the sides of this bed and fill it with dirt. Especially if I want a bunch of potatoes. Which I do. Basil. Basil. Basil. Did I tell you how much I love Basil? Well, I do. ******************************************************************************* Add Comment |
