About 1:30 this afternoon, this train derailed. Well, 22 cars derailed. According to the report, 14 of the 22 cars that derailed were carrying hazardous waste. At first, they said there was a leak, maybe radioactive. Then it was said it was chlorine.
It seems that the middle school on the next street over is now the emergency station for the evacuees. Here are two different News station trucks, and a fire engine.
The Red Cross is here setting up cots for people to sleep on. They told me they would be here to help until 8 a.m. tomorrow morning, and dinner was on it's way.
People are lined up all along the edge of the school, waiting to see when they get to go home. Guess it will be a long night.
This fella doesn't look all that happy about it.
