The Beauties 05/30/2011
Farmer J has new babies. They are just so cute. There are two goslings...and six ducklings. We have had some casualties, though. Three goslings were born too early and didn't make it. How sad. It is funny how, even right after they were hatched, they wanted to be in the water. They just can't help themselves. The circle is of the gosling's flipper. One day it will be a real wing with feathers...but not this day. I love those little flippers. They move them around like real wings. They put me in mind of a T-Rex. I can't wait to see it with feathers. ******************************************************************************* Add Comment New Developments 05/18/2011
Farmer J's artichokes are 'jumpin off', as he would say. A few of these are about ready to pick. Added to mine, we might get an appetizer. He also has a duck and a goose sitting on eggs. This duck is sitting on a nest, but the ducks, chickens, and the geese use the same nests, sometimes. The reason her head is blurry is because she is eating the feed Farmer J brought her. He has really been wanting to hatch some eggs. This morning he got his wish. The goose has a gosling. I expect more babies are coming...only it could be ducklings, or chicks, or more goslings. I am excited to find out. Spring is really here. ****************************************************************************** |
