DUCK RACES 10/04/2010

This was my third Duck Race.  The 36th annual Duck Race!  That's impressive to me.  The sign says...$2.00, not $200.

I was set up next to the petting zoo.  One little girl spent most of the day in side  there, holding a bunny.  She held it like a baby, with the bunnies feet up in the air, in the crook of her arm.  The bunny  was in heaven!  I loved that.

Here is my beautiful assistant.  She is a little shy.  AND a big help.  Thanks Girl!  You can also see that I have recycled my massage sign.  What can I say...it worked pretty good.

One thing that was great was, the weather was nice.  Warm enough for the Boy Scouts dunk tank, but not so warm that I was uncomfortable.  Or cold, either.  Last year it was pretty cold, and windy.  AND I was very uncomfortable.  I'm such a whiner.

Here's the jail.  No, that man did not put his baby in jail, they were sitting just behind it.  There was even a Sheriff with a badge and everything.  He would go around arresting people.  You could pay him to take whoever you wanted to jail.

What a curious concept.  I thought, that would be nice if you knew someone was about to make a mistake, you could detain them.  I, personally, would HATE if someone tried to do that to me...so I couldn't do it to anyone else, either.   Funny how that works.

These are the race tracks for the ducks.  It seems like such a farm town thing to do.  I love that it is a community event.

Another event that I will be attending is out at the Juniper Hills Association building, out there, south of Fort Tejon Rd. on 106th St. West.  They are having their pancake breakfast and boutique on the 16th of this month.  They do a nice breakfast.  Hope to see you there.
