In this row of tomatoes, there were a few that were not looking so good. Plus...there were no tomatoes actually growing on them. In an effort to keep them from infecting the other tomatoes, I turned them into goat food. Personally, I think they were a faulty batch from the growers.
Here, the plant broke off at the ground, so I decided to leave it.
I also pulled up a zucchini plant that had aphids. Then I carefully checked the blooms on the other plants and any ones with aphids got pulled off. Let's hope I did a good job. I need the zucchini.
I had to pull up several tomatoes here. It broke my heart to do it. It helps to know that the goats will put it to good use.
Today, I am planning on making my Fair entries. Or, at least, SOME of my entries. This one being my orange marmalade. I bought a BIG bag of older bananas yesterday so I can make banana nut bread butter.
It goes real good in oatmeal.
