Yesterday I tried to post three times.  Each time this site said no internet connection.  BS!  It makes me feel bad for you all 'cause you came all this way to see me and there was nothing to see.  Sorry.  I tried.  I really wanted to show you my new pictures.

Farmer J and I had things to do in town.  On the way back home we took the scenic route.  This is what we say.  Love this picture.

I have lived in the high desert since '84 and this is the first time I remember seeing these particular flower.  Or...weed.  I don't know.

This is our local dam.  For years you could just go up and hang out and fish.  Now it costs $7.00 a car.

Also, the foreground of this picture is a special place for exotic animals.  They work on movie sets.
Picture
Just a little local lore.  Animal movie stars.  Not sure which ones.

Here are a few other pictures that I took.  This is a "Teddy Bear" cactus...in bloom no less.  Those little, furry branches will stick right to you if you get too close.  They are also called Cholla (choi-ya).
Picture
This is our foothill landscape.  Those are Joshua trees.  The ones close to the Teddy Bear cactus are babies.  It takes 60 years for them to mature and can live 500 years.
Picture
Last but not least...a mystery weed/flower that is growing at Farmer J's.  "Purple is my signature color".
