This is a pile of weeds. The weeds got out of control this year. I am sorry to say I am just now getting SOME control over things. Sort of.
I scraped here, also. I am on a mission. I am anticipating a lot of visitors, wanting to check out my garden. So it can't be messy.
So...I scrape. And rake. I scrap with a flat edge shovel. I push it across the dirt, just under the weeds. It knocks them loose and then I rake up the debris in piles. I hope to call the local fire department today, so I can burn the tumbleweeds tomorrow.
To legally burn in Littlerock, just go to the firehouse on Ave U and fill out a burn permit. THEN...when you want to burn, you call the number on the permit, before 5 pm. Leave your number, and address on the machine, and you have permission to burn the next morning, between 6 am and 10 am. Make sure you have a water hose ready to go, and that it is not windy. Then have at it.
