Life Changes 12/17/2011
Today is a day that I want to celebrate. Today is the day that Farmer J gets two new toilets. TWO! I am so happy! He is also working on putting in a couple of sinks and some shower fittings. The Bee Whisperer is instructing on the proper way to do that. The Lad is also in attendance. I would call it 'males bonding'. A perfect way to spend a Saturday. Hope you all have a perfect one, as well. ***************************************************** Add Comment At This Pace... 05/15/2011
It has been trying to rain all day, so far. A couple of times it actually managed to get things a little wet. What it did accomplish was to get pretty chilly. Way more chilly than I like when I'm working outside. I have been absent here for a few days. Rest assured that when I am not here, I am flying at mach 3 with my hair on fire. I am what can only be described as a 'personal assistant' to several people. I help keep their 'stuff' flowing. It is what I do, naturally. This week we saved a bunch of bees. I am scared of bees...sort of. Plus, when something exciting goes on, I sometimes forget to get my camera out. I regret that. The Lad usually reminds me to get it. He got caught up in it, too. It seems the Queen Bee died in flight. This caused the rest of the bees to go to ground. Right in the middle of the intersection. I was sent to verify their location, waiting to help keep cars from driving into them, as the bees were all over the road. That is when The Bee Whisperer showed up with a bee box, and set it in the middle of the road. I think it had some fresh honey in it. He then called one of the Bee Boys to go get the smoker to smoke the bees. And like magic...the bees walked into the box in an orderly fashion. A blessing to behold. Thanks Bee Whisperer. It was the neighborhood, coming together to save them. I love this town! I have also been working like crazy on my gardens. I have almost all my beds fertilized and turned...ready to plant. They have even been watered several times so the earth is consistently wet. Yesterday I planted corn and green beans, bush type. I came home today to find that Farmer J has left me some beefsteak, celebrity, Ace, and Better Girl tomato plants. He sure knows how to get into a girl's heart. This is a few of my plants. Farmer J says I need to move a few of these. He is usually right...I like that. This is Scardy Dog's big fat foot prints through my freshly 'fluffed' dirt. She just steps right over the fence. Her legs are so long. I guess the the fence is mostly for the rabbits, because it is useless on the dogs. How sad for me. This is where she went out...I think. So she had to mess up two beds. How sad for me. For your viewing pleasure, my artichokes. The big one in the right corner is almost ready to eat. Farmer J has some almost ready to eat, too. Yeah for us! Guess it's time for worm tea! Anyway...like I said...I have been busy. AND...I need to get back to the garden. I can hear it calling. "Trish! You have work to do out here." See? I just have to go. Now. ******************************************************************************* |
